First Baptist Church Colquitt GA is prayerfully seeking an Associate Pastor/Director of Children and Families. The applicant should profess a genuine Christian faith, be of good character, and should be passionate about children and family ministry. The Associate Pastor of Children and Families will oversee and manage curriculum for the discipleship and spiritual growth of children and families. Responsibilities: He will seek to develop and maintain a curriculum program in which children and families will discover GOD and build a foundation for a lifelong relationship with HIM. Recruit, train, and support volunteer leaders and teachers for children's ministry. Provide families with resources and training on how to disciple their own children and lead them to Christ. Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding children's ministry activities. Must be able to work well with other pastoral staff, parents, and volunteers. Must be able to build relationships with parents and families to foster spiritual growth. Must be able to build relationships with students by being an active presence in the local school systems. Plan, and coordinate Vacation Bible School, children camps, Fall Festival, and oversee other seasonal events. He will also carry out additional pastoral duties, alongside the pastoral staff, including but not limited to occasional preaching, occasional leading of prayer meetings, children's sermons, hospital visits, funerals, and weddings as needed. Safety and Compliance: Ensure safety protocols are in place for all children's activities and maintain a secure environment. Oversee the background check process for all volunteers engaged in children's ministry. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is preferred or a willingness to pursue further education.
